From the streets of Yokohama to the waters off Sydney’s Bondi Beach, the artist’s riveting performance works merge elements of art history, popular culture, extreme sports, and his native Australia. MATRIX 162 was on view at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art from June 2 to September 18, 2011.
